Aeternus-lineup picture

AETERNUS was formed by Ares in 1993 in Bergen,Norway. And with seven full length albums under their belts, AETERNUS is one of the pioneers of what the band calls “Dark Metal”, meshing the sounds of Black Metal and Death Metal with superlative guitar playing and occasional haunting, melodic interludes.

Of the original line up, only founder, guitarist and frontman Ares remains. A veteran of the prolific Bergen Music Scene, Ares has played with some of the best bands that inhabit the Black and Extreme Metal genres, including icons such as IMMORTAL and GORGOROTH.

After releasing the Demo “Walk my path” in 1994, AETERNUS got signed to View Beyond Records who released their classic “Dark Sorcery” in 1995. Ever since, AETERNUS has always delivered critically acclaimed releases, not to mention brutal and solid live shows.

20 years later, the highly anticipated seventh album “…And the Seventh his Soul Detesteth” is released, Presenting a new and solid line up with Phobos behind the drums and Specter on guitar.
In their previous incarnation AETERNUS have appeared at a big number of festivals, and toured alongside bands such as DEICIDE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, MAYHEM, BEHEMOTH, EMPEROR,MARDUK 1349,AURA NOIR to mention some.

Those who fondly remember the emotions that AETERNUS engendered with its music will not be disappointed. Far from it, because although the new members have brought their own fresh approach to the band, the heaviness, power and intensity that imbued AETERNUS’ music is still very much there. AETERNUS is back, and back with a vengeance.

ENTHRONED, HERETIC and APOPHYS join D-19 roster!

The Belgian black-metal band ENTHRONED (Agonia Records) and the Dutch bands HERETIC (Ván Records)
and APOPHYS (Metal Blade Records) team up with the Austrian talent agency District 19 for exclusive European bookings. If you’re interested in booking them, please write to info(@)

ENTHRONED (BE – Agonia Records)

Enthroned came to life in 1993 by the hand of Cernunnos – the same hand that took his life in 1997. The intent was to combine the most extreme form of sound with his belief and lifestyle within Theistic Satanism and the Occult. Cernunnos was later joined by bass player/vocalist Sabathan and guitar player Tsebaoth, and in 1995 they recorded the band’s first album. Nornagest joined on lead guitar and vocals that same year. Enthroned have released albums on labels such as Osmose Productions, Blackend Records, Napalm Records and Regain Records, and have been touring worldwide in support of various releases. The line-up has been subject to many changes over the course of the years, and vocalist Sabathan was replaced in 2006 due to musical and ideological differences. Nornagest took over the lead vocals, and the band have taken their concept to greater depths ever since. 2010 saw Enthroned embark upon their wildly successful first world tour, and ink a new deal with Poland’s Agonia Records. Through the label, Enthroned released “Sovereigns” in 2014, marking the 10th album in the band’s career, and the first one featuring the band as a quintet. “Sovereigns” was recorded at Blackout Studio in Brussels, owned by Phorgath (bass) and Neraath (lead guitars).

HERETIC (NL – Ván Records)

The year ’14 brings new blood to Heretic’s ranks. With the addition of second bassplayer Jimmy Blitzer and drummer Tom Auf Der Axe these Dutch black ‘n’ roll masters have what it takes to prolong their mission: writing and playing basic and evil songs that are the perfect soundtrack to any headbanger’s wet dream.

If you like Venom, Motörhead, Turbonegro and/or the Misfits, you’ll probably bang your head to the energetic unholy chops these 4 filthy guys rape your ears with. Love it or hate it, Heretic is here to stay and will be in a town near you anytime soon.

You wanted the sleaziest, you GOT the sleaziest.

APOPHYS (NL – Metal Blade Records)

Featuring members of renowned Dutch acts like: God Dethroned, Prostitute Disfigurement, Detonation and Toxocara. Apophys has been formed.

Mercilessly cutting a way through conventional Death Metal, but influenced by it nonetheless. With the priority being song structure above technicality, Apophys has set upon itself the goal to become part of the new standard in Death Metal.
The overwhelming response of the first promo material has enforced Apophys to start working on the debut album coming winter.
